Must Have Add-ons For Firefox (for me)

One reason I use Firefox as my default browser is because of its wide range of extensions. And I know that all other browsers have extensions too but Firefox’s extensions suit me better with my style of usage. Here are several extensions that I use:

  • Adblock Plus : Block ads on almost all pages, even in youtube. Good for those who watch youtube a lot and ads-haters.
  • Download Statusbar : Convert your “Downloads” window into a small bar on the bottom of the screen. Neat
  • DownThemAll (dTa) : Free download manager inside your browser. No other plugins for other download managers software. Install this and you are good to go. It works with most premium direct download accounts too.
  • F.B Purity : Must-have add-ons for avid Facebook users. Hide almost anything that you want to hide from your homepage. You can increase the font size too if you want.
  • Feedly : Best RSS reader so far. You can link it up to your Google Reader account and everything will be sorted out for you in a jiffy. No mess, just read all you want. I love the cover tab very much. Looks like a real magazine, just online.
  • Flashgot : For those who use external download managers like Flashget, Orbit and Internet Download Manager, this is the add-on for you. You can set up your downloads to be handled by your download managers and grab stuff from Flash sites too.
  • LastPass : Reduce log in time 10x. Enough said. But don’t forget your master password!
  • WOT (Web Of Trust) : Helps you avoid bad websites (phising, malwares etc) via rating from users around the world. Good add-on if you don’t have any anti-spyware programs installed.
